Grangevale AFC |
| Grangevale AFC is a County Cork soccer club that was founded in 1953 following a suggestion by Mr. Michael Dorgan suggested they form a team. They founders decided to adopt the orange and black colours of Wolverhampton Wanders, a popular English football team at the time. The club took it’s name from the local Grangevale House and early matches were played on a soccer pitch on Conron’s Farm. In the year that the club was formed it entered a team into the Munster Junior League. In 1976 the club began playing home matches at Grangevale Park, Five Mile Bridge, and this has been the home venue for Grangevale AFC home matches for the last 30 years.

Grangevale Park, Five Mile Bridge, Cork. Heading from Cork City, take the main Kinsale Road, at the airport roundabout go straight ahead. At ‘Five Mile Inn’ carry on towards Kinsale , after approx 0.25 of a mile, you will come to a crossroads, turn right and the pitch is 500 meters on the left hand side. |
