Tramore Athletic FC is a County Cork soccer team that was established in 1947 by soccer players from Blackrock, Douglas and Turners Cross, came together to form the club. The founding members were John O’Sullivan, Mossie Cronin, Des Doherty, Michael Dwyer, and Leonard Gould. The club, which took it’s name from the Tramore River, was one of the founding members of the Cork Schoolboys League. Tramore Athletic won it’s first ever football trophy in 1954 at under 14 level. The Club’s pitch is just off the South Douglas Road, Cork. |
