Donnybrook is a suburb of south Dublin in Ireland and the post code is Dublin 4. The suburb shares boundaries with the other south Dublin suburbs of Ballsbridge, Clonskeagh, Sandymount and Ranelagh. The area was once well known for the infamous Donnybrook Fair which began in the late 1100’s. Often this fair ended in major civil disturbances from which ‘Donnybrook’ became a term for a brawl or riot.
