Dublin City Football PitchesDublin City Council is the largest local authority in Ireland. The Council administers public soccer pitches in the following areas, Dublin 1, Dublin 2, Dublin 7, Ballymun, Finglas, Cabra, Glasnevin, Artane, Donaghmede, Whitehall, Clontarf, Kimmage, Crumlin, Drimnagh, Ballyfermot, Pembroke and Rathmines. Dublin city has more green spaces per square mile than any other European capital city. There are 30 large public parks within a three-mile radius of Dublin city centre. The Council manages and maintains over 1,500 hectares of parks and open spaces. Dublin City Council provides 255 playing pitches in 67 locations throughout the Dublin City. In excess of 1,000 official football matches take place on Council pitches every week. The following is a list of every public football pitch location that is owned and maintained by Dublin City Council.
