Unusually his twin brother William, a forward, has declared to play for England. It was fourth round League Cup tie at the Recreation Ground in front of an attendance of 7,044. Keane came on as a substitute after 70 minutes along with Ravel Morrison, as replacements for Ezekiel Fryers and Mamae Biram Diouf. United won the match through goals from Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen and Antonio Valencia.
