Goal of the Year 2014 – Stephanie RocheIreland’s Stephanie Roche has been named to FIFA’s shortlist for the Puskás Award for scoring the best goal of the year in 2014. This is the first time that a woman has been named on the FIFA shortlist. Stephanie was playing for Peamount United team, in the Irish women’s league, at the time. Stephanie occupies the top three slot with Robin van Persie of the Netherlands and James Rodriguez of Columbia. Both of these scored their goals during the 2014 World Cup finals.
